Thanks, Joker. Didicoi looks okay. The other two still have me stumped though. The O is definitely right on 4a, and I feel confident about the L.

4 Dn is oflag and I think that 12 across is glazing.

Thanks you eleanormcn - I can now sleep easy having learned a new word (oflag) and I can see the logic of glazing though I think the overall clue a bit suspect

Thanks, Eleanor. I'll give you OFLAG, obscure as it is, but I just can't see GLAZING (or anything else for that matter).

G(reen)lazing (lounge) light = window
window fitting = glazing

Okay, Eleanor, I'll buy it. But I still think it's a rubbish clue.

I totally agree Jim, and I'm not convinced that it's the correct interpretation.

I needed help to solve it, but I would still say it's a perfect clue. You need to understand that light is a synonym for window (cf skylight and fanlight). So "fitting light" can be interpreted as "fitting a window" or "glazing".

I struggled with "in middle of". It's deliberately misleading, but correct. It doesn't mean you should put the extra letter G in the middle. Rather that when you are lazing you are "in the middle of [a] lounge".

I'm impressed with the skills of those that did solve it.
