Can anyone help me find 1a and 12a?

I have -n-r-h-p. Looks like somethingship.

12a: Flag of large type the page carries (8)
I have s-s-h-a-. Looks like somethinghead.

12A I think your first "S" may be wrong as it could be MASTHEAD. Does that affect the other one?

1a Anarchic

and agree Masthead

Franny, is your last letter right? The first part of the word should be AN ARCH therefore the only word I can fit is anarchic an arch being a bridge and anarchic being riotous.

My problems arose from having 'parasol' for the admiral's shade rather than thinking of desert ships. Should have been 'caramel'.
