Oh goodness, I have never started the thread before but no-one else seems to be around today. Does that mean that you have all finished in double quick time ? I am not doing too badly, stuck on four but would like a hint for 2d. Thanks GG

Hi
Just logged on for the first time today (builders needing endless cups of tea)
I've not finished, as I only started it half an hour back. I've just put in 2d ( high up is where you would have seen him working )
I've still got 5 more to do, but I'm not asking for help. Need to get my brain in gear. More tea for the builders.....
Best wishes to all

Good afternoon all.
I've just finished, having been hard at it
since 11am. My only difficulty was with
10a and having worked out what the answer
must be I had to check the dictionary to
see that there was such a word.
Best wishes to all
N

I'm pleased the hint was helpful GG.
Well done to you Navigator.
I've just got 24a to do and really cannot see it al all! Don't tell me! The penny will drop later I am sure. I agree with you on 10a I had never heard of it.
I wonder if angelmcm is around today ?
If so, I have had no reply to my email (RT) so will post a picture of something interesting later;))

hi Raymond
10a the answer, if read backwards is a South African village, but I only discovered this today.

Hi Jazzgirl
Clue to 24a could also read "tear along" for the name of a racecourse.

Re cat - it sounds as tho` i took him just to be weighed! It was a check up, as he has hyperthyroidism.
