24ac Get official reprimand (3,3)
S _ E _ _ F

I can only think of see off. Why?
Maybe I'm just a bit thick headed.
Thanks for any explanation

Your see off is right - see as in "get what you mean" and off as short for official

Trevor - bur seen off is reprimanded? See ref sounds like an order ( a la Arsene and should have been Wayne R!)

Trevor - if you have never been "ssen off" you are a better man than me (or have a more circumspect social life!)

trust me, I have had more than a fair share of reprimands but "seen off" always had nice connotations for me - people waving goodbye as I got on a plane for instance(very romantic)was being seen off.
You have ruined that for me now :)
