I've seen the answers to these 3 clues - and still don't get them ! Can anyone elucidate ?

1a "settled camp enclosing one's settlement"
answer:- "satisfaction"
25a "run following sweetheart,tense holding hands" - answer "elopement"
15d "brig stripped vessel taken by fellow warship" - answer "privateer"

Settled is SAT and camp is FACTION enclosing ones = IS gives SATISFACTION

Brig stripped is RI and vessel is VAT inside fellow = PEER gives PRIVATEER

E (sweetheart) LOPE (run) MEN (hands) T (tense)
