Kind of wheel for light carriage (3) _ L _

One with an important part in The Traitor's Return (4) _ T _ R It looks like "star" but I don't see why.

No. A fly was a light carriage for hire, like a hansom cab, usually with just one horse. I don't believe the carriage clock explanation is correct.
