Having pondered over this crossword for a while, I'm not really getting anywhere. Without giving anything large away, could anyone doing the same crossword give me some help as to how to get started.

It says Listener drumbeat, not looker!

It seems that I'm the only one to have tried this crossword!

If you give details of a couple of clues,then I am sure that you will receive some assistance here.
The majority of the contributors will not have this particular crossword,so cannot help you,without you giving full details.

Joker, I've had a look at this, and to tell you the truth mate, it's unexplainable really. The preamble is an explanation on how to decipher the clues which in themselves are very esoteric and made up of letters and numbers in brackets. The only word clues are single word clues in the preamble and none of the DOWN or ACROSS are conventional word clues. In other words, without a copy to look at, your up the creek without the proverbial paddle my friend
