Eh? Are you looking for clues to "trout" and "salmon"? If so, what kind of clue?

i assumed it was a quiz called "pleasurable pastime"
with the clue,
in trout or salmon.

Ah! My back issues of "Trout and Salmon" are all in the shed, I'm afraid, and I can't necessarily remember all the crossword clues in all the editions. ;-)

If the clue is "pleasurable pastime" then the answer is obviously "chasing wild geese".

Not sure "pleasurable pastime" and "Trout and Salmon" compute.
They swim, they eat, some leap, they spread their gametes in the water.
Or perhaps the pleasure's all ours, eating them.
