Mohammad’s first follower sweeps unfinished house (6)_ _ A _ _ _

The answer to this is on an earlier thread I think.
I think it's Muhammed's wife but sorry, you'll need to google it. It's something like KHADJA

Hi Wendy - no the answer offered was Khadij as you say but not correct as that is not the name of Mohammad's first wife (Khadija) shame as it was a great answer - very frustrating

If so perhaps it's nothing to do with Mohammed's first wife, perhaps it's
Mohammed's first (being the letter M and ending in HO for unfinished house or something along those lines.

yes they are cryptic and I've been through all the M - A - - - words etc but not sure what 'sweep' means in cryptic clues

One website gives Mohammad's first follower as his cousin, Ali.
A?A??? on Word Wizard comes up with ALABRI.
Chambers gives:
a l'abri (Fr.) under shelter.

ALI round ABR(idged) with "house" as the definition? I'm not sure.
