5 A The clue was 'Expose to moisture'
The answer given today was RAIT
I cannot find this word defined anywhere - can anyone tell me where it is defined?

In my Chambers it says that rait is the same as ret.

The definition for ret: to expose to moisture, to soften or soak.

Hi Richard- you need Chambers to solve this. 'Rait' is given as same as 'ret' which is defined as 'to expose to moisture'

andy, do you remember that 'left shops' clue the other day when I tried to explain the second half of 'portrait' with ret/rait (wrongly). Bit of a coincidence.
