CLUELESS 46

Posting early because I’m off to work soon and don’t finish until 8pm (today and tomorrow)

It’s Clueless time again, which this week falls to me to set.

The idea is simply to compile a cryptic clue to a given answer. The winner of the previous week’s competition sets the answer to be clued and judges the entries. There is a one-day time-frame. The judge’s decision is final (reasons may or may not be given at the judge’s discretion).

It is customary for the judge to donate a virtual prize to the winner.

To be fair to others, please do not make any comments on entries until after the winning entry has been declared.

Multiple entries may be submitted and new competitors are particularly welcome.

The CLUELESS 46 answer is: USUFRUCTUARY (12)

Clues to be submitted usually before 16:30 GMT tomorrow (Wednesday 8th February). But as I’m out until 8pm, judging will have to be deferred until then.
Good luck!

Paul,

I'm sure that when Clueless started, it was written in the criteria that you had to pick a word that was deemed hard to clue, that's why I chose this with four U's. Should have wrote it in again really while I had the chance, job for next weeks setter I think.

If everyone wants me to change it, I will, but will have to do it later tonight when I get home which will still give 24 hours.
Let me know

I don't know where Les40 got the idea that the solution necessarily had to be hard to clue, but never mind. here is mine:

Try wearing four uniforms with scarf to obtain your right to use what is mine (12)

TRY wearing UUUU with SCARF to obtain DEFINITION
