Each numbered clue(listed in no particular order)contains a one word definition of its solution - the wordplay at that clue however, relates to a one word definition elsewhere. Definition/wordplay elements are never exchanged in pairs between two clues, rather a chain is formed between the clues.

In each case please give the solution and indicate the other clue where it's wordplay is located.

A final link clue should assist.

I haven't a clue about any of the clues - but wondered if the link was 'bankers bonuses'? (ban+k+er is as far as I got!)

The clues aren't as complicated as the instructions suggest, once you get the first one it should fall into place.

Just checking in, but having terrible connection problems. Joan is lying, by the way; she has all the answers.

Number 2 - which I have got in isolation - looks likes 'needles' (needless/unnecessary without the final 's'/pointless).

Am off out now - NOT because I did so dismally here - and looking forward to seeing the answers on my return. I expect Aristo will supply them all in due course.
