Good idea. I'm sure that if we want more, they'd be fairly easy t add as we've only had the ones we've got now for a few months. Somebody asked for them and there they were. These are some from a Naval site I frequent:

Bold: Enclose your text with and . Example: This is bold text. = This is bold text.

Italic: Enclose your text with and . Example: This is italic text. = This is italic text.

Underline: Enclose your text with and . Example: This is underline text. = This is underline text.

Aligning Text Left:
Enclose your text with [left] and [/left]

Aligning Text Center:
Enclose your text with [center] and [/center]

Aligning Text Right:
Enclose your text with [right] and [/right]

Striking Text:
Enclose your text with [s] and [/s]
Example: [s]mistake[/s] = mistake

Horizontal Rule:
Place a horizontal line in your post with [hr]

Font Colors:

Also, URL links will break if they are too long, or contain an underscore. So I frequently use http://tinyurl.com/
to compress them. Handy for your e-mails as well. It also provides a preview option so the recipient can see where the link will lead.

That is why the other tags in your test didn't work either. Same applies to e-mail programs. You have to use the format buttons.
