I-E-
Is this ITEM -I'M round the word ITEM - a point?
Or is it IDEA - I and IDEA as point?
I just can't see this last one!

Have just read chrisg's response on another thread re this clue - I had missed the MET (joined) backwards plus I 'point' of the clue ;)
So ITEM it is!
