Two day's worth unfortunately...

"Takes off rubbish I kept in house, all reclaimed" = imitates. This is I+TAT kept in SEMI. It's the 'all reclaimed' bit I'm unsure of, seems to mean 'backwards' but why?

"This painter worked with McCluan and I to make 1" = artist.

"Touch up big instrument" = tuba. Initial letter time but where's the 'a' to be had?

"Course needs another book: 'Making Cream Desserts'" = syllabus.

"Hospital by mid-year, say? It's going up on coast" = sand dune. June/dune I can see but that's all.

Many thanks.

Hi PS.

"Course needs another book: 'Making Cream Desserts'" = syllabus.
A Syllabub is a dessert. Add a 'b' to 'syllabus' to make 'syllabubs'.

"Hospital by mid-year, say? It's going up on coast" = sand dune. June/dune I can see but that's all.
'Sand' sounds like 'San' which is short for Sanitorium (hospital)??

btw. I agree with your logic re;
rubbish I kept in house, all reclaimed.
"all reclaimed" just means,take all of it (SE tat-i-MI) back.

not great?

Hi again.

This painter worked with McCluan and I to make 1" = artist.

I decided to look up clue no.1 and the answer seems to be 'circumstantial' - which is an anagram of 'McCluan' + 'i' + 'artist'.
