i found this lovely clue online;

Unusually remote celestial body (6).

the word 'Unusually' indicates an anagram of the word that follows it. That word is 'remote'.
The word 'remote' contains the letters; M,E,T,E(yes,'E' again),and an O and an R.
lovely.

The def' is - celestial body.

Except a meteor, i.e. a hot body burning up in our atmosphere, is thus not a celestial body!

Far be it from me to interject into this feast of reason, and I suspect Trevor's sarcasm meter has gone into the red zone, but just in his defence "celestial" is defined (in Chambers) as "in the visible heavens" so the clue is perhaps both lovely and kosher.

Good Lord AB - I must learn to read more carefully. I thought you were referring to Trevor as being lovely and kosher. (Heaven forfend!).

Anyway - if Trevor's around - where the 'eck is Matron to keep him under control...?
