I'm struggling with the last few clues of 100 in this quiz. Can anyone help with these two? I'd be very grateful.

1. Auction bid upset punter's mother (5,2,6). The answer contains the word bridge.

2. There's nothing fair in a thug (7). The section is entitled 'shipmates', and I already have admiral, captain, chief petty officer, boatswain, navigator, able seaman, midshipman and lieutenant.

Any ideas?

That is absolutely brilliant. Could you just explain why Ok is nothing fair?

I don't suppose you can solve the one I put on earlier,can you? It was "Grand Express" and is a boat or ship.

Thank you so much.

Sorry - being really stupid. I missed the second o, as in ook.

I hope you're still there. How about also:

1. Inevitably follows a runny nose in adults. The answer has to be a number of three digits.
2. First Cardinal to have first aid. Answer is, again, a number of three digits.

cutter

c + utter (express)
I would justify it (well attempt to) by saying that cutter sounds like kutter ( k is an acceptable abbreviation for one thousand/grand).

I don't really understand this three digit no thing, but 2nd one might be.... 121

first = 1
cardinal = 2 (2 is a cardinal no).
first aid = a (first letter) = 1

Thank you so much. Any luck with the others? I'm trying to exploit your skills as much as possible before you disappear!

That might do it. Examples I've got are 'He has a very low boiling point' is -269 (the BP of helium), and 'Seventies girl group disappear from Bermuda trouble spot' is 177 (180 degrees of triangle less three for The Three Degrees).
