Hi all,
Finally finished (what a struggle this week) but can't justify 2 answers.

27D "Boisterous girl's character ultimately failing to secure promotion" Ans is Ladette, but I just can't see why.

11D "Place for minister's speech that's well covered by channel on TV" Ans is either despatch box or dispatch box. ch and box explain channel on Tv, but how does despat or dispat explain that's well covered?

And btw, I thought 35D "Soldier may have this urge" (egg on) is the clue of the week. Brilliant!

The well is SPA and the channel is DITCH which gives DISPATCH and television is "the BOX" gives DISPATCH BOX

Character is letter ultimately failing gives LETTE and that secures promotion = advertisement = AD gives LADETTE
