Are you sure the answer is not AIDE. There is a fish called IDE.

"Id" is also one of those magic words that can get you out of a hole in a tight game of Scrabble and, yes, it is a fish. Incidentally, it is also the "uncoordinated instinctual trends of the psychic apparatus" according to Sigmund Freud. I wonder what that means?

It means when you attack the Ego the Id responds, as in, if you call someone a pompous ass he will not respond with reasoned argument (ego) but with a fist in the face (the id).!
