(Not 100% sure of the 'a' - sorry!)

Forgot to say - there's a single extra word in each clue.

Could 30 be santee? Links the native American, but can't see "opinion is rejected"? Could be way off mark, often am!

Santee is an anagram of Senate

That's where I got it from, Chris, but still don't see "expert opinion rejected" bit?

seneca sen (senate) + ace reversed - opinion is superfluous
