Is ITEMIZE OR ITEMISE the answer to 33D: put on a list? The dictionary here says both are acceptable but bearing in mind the Daily Record is the Scottish national paper, is it 's' or 'z' ?

Jimbo you are probably right its LEGION. The M I had was the 2nd letter of IMITATES which i thought was the answer to 86D Impersonates (8). Now i have to find alternative answer to 86D ?O?T?A?S Any idea? Its the last one.
