Also looking for 55 across - 6 letters - hunting (archaic) I have ???e?y

Just out of interest, what did you get for 56 across? For 47 down I am very tempted by DIESEL, but I suspect that RINSER or RINSES are closer to the mark.

Ah, some wrong letters, no wonder I couldn't find anything to fit. Anyway, I hope you have a good trip over here and that the weather improves a bit. It was nice this afternoon but is raining again now. The wind forecast is for force 5 or 6 tomorrow, so the crossing could be a bit bumpy. However Monday is supposed to be good.
