The clue is "Inventor of radar, winner of Nobel Prize hidden inside" - the problem is there is no one person attributed to inventing radar - I thought it was Robert Watson - a contraction of Robert Watson Webb (esp as James Webb won the Nobel prize in Physics in 2006) - but have been informed it is not. Doppler has 7 letters so I am well confused.

Looking at Wikipedia suggests James Maxwell. Robert Watson Watt was much later in the 1930s
