I need to write these abbreviations out in full, mostly they will have some Christmas theme:
1) "IBE (EAC)" is most likely the initials of 2 lines from a song or carol
2) "DA by JF" is likely a book, film or song
3) "SB, 5 M (3 0, 2M )" I suspect is some sort of musical time signature
4) "R of Y G B in V" don't know what this is
5) "The S of an E by J B" likely a book or film

4 is a nmemonic for remembering the colours of the rainbow so I have no idea what it's to do with the current season

No1 could be "i before e except after c" Don't see a Christmas theme though!
