Thank you, AB for prompt reply.
I'm having a lot of trouble with the bottom right hand corner of this xword.
still cannot solve 43D and 46A, and is 56D answer - "Foot" ?

46A was "Associate with European diplomatic worker" (7) I have ???a?h?
and 56D was "Creature found under a hoof" (4),

All those answers fit perfectly !
I promise this is the last clue I haven't yet solved - it is:-
"King George? Yes, I travelled home rather pale" (7). I have ?r?y?s? It looks as if it should be "grayest" (GR for King George, AYE for "yes" ST (is this supposed to be street for home) ?

GR as you say
YES as in the clue
with ET around it (ET, I travelled home)
