It's always nice when people take the trouble to come on here to tell us how straight-forward a puzzle is. Even nicer when they point out that johnny foreigner might find the wordplay tricky. Any excuse will do I suppose when you can't resist showing off.

Judith - if you read this thread regularly you would find that the speccie bunch are a friendly lot always willing to help (answer or just clues or explanations) Last week's speccie was particularly difficult so it's nice for anyone not started yet to be encouraged rather than being put off after last week's. No-one is boasting, we are here to help & share ideas - even up to midnight last week! If you don't like the speccie thread, why don't you avoid it altogether and go off and find somewhere else for your moans.
