I can only think that the second one is SEE. See is the same as escort as in "See someone across the road". Marks is in the plural so it could refer to Saint Marks in the sense of the seat of a bishop or Holy See.

I know it's a bit tortured but unless anybody can come up with anything better .....

See looks correct; the opening "E" from entrechat is the last letter of S??.

Probably not on the "100 best crossword clues of all time" list.
