I think Spelunker was the only thing that fitted the first one.

Spelunker is an anag. of keen+plurals-al !!!

Thanks to kite/chips/masie-I knew I'd made a mistake-in fact I also had an N instead of a P for 11 across. It could confuse a stupid person.
