I have "Fort Knox" for 16A and understand "Knox" for "strikes on air", but where does "Fort" come from - "Opposed" doesn't seem to be working.

Has anyone parsed this clue?

Thanks, Dandelion.

A senior moment not applying "on air" to first part of clue.
