I have now made two appeals for someone to start CLUE CHAIN next Thursday without success. I am now going to post a revised intro on this thread which I think will address the anomalies encountered in the last game. If someone would like to volunteer to copy the new intro and add their clue to start the new game that's fine. If nobody can be bothered let's just forget the whole thing.

Welcome to CLUE CHAIN

The idea is to start with a cryptic clue - set by me this week.

The first correct solver (judged by the setter) then has to offer their clue and so on. Please wait until you are invited before posting your clue. It would be nice if explanations are given and setter will confirm or explain.


The person who solves the 1st clue is asked to kick off the next week's CLUE CHAIN. (Thursday 8 Dec around noon). Please confirm you will do this when you post your clue.

Once you have solved and then set a clue you cannot enter again, although you can still comment

30 min time limit per clue and if not solved the setter must declare the clue 'open'. At this time the slate is wiped clean and everybody can enter again. The setter will then choose the first correct answer posted, explain the clue and invite a new clue. If no correct answer is offered the setter must invite attempts and decide who shall post the next clue.

I think it may be better to forget this for a while Rambler.Many regulars do not seem to be posting any-more and there is a lot of animosity amongst others.I for one do not find this site fun ,I will continue to read and post now and again but ,sorry to say ,I will not be a regular.

I have very much enjoyed the game when I have had time to enter. I'm not around until about 5pm on a thursday and last week it felt like I had the field to myself during the 30 mins. Keep it going - it's fun
