I am sure that you must be correct berkspotter, in which case I will have to rethink 7 down which I queried yesterday (Clue Parson's glebe from French? 4,2,3,6) which Aristo suggested could be Land of the Parish but sudatorium would give me an 'i' instead of the 'a' in parish Both solutions sound right, so somethings gotta give! Many thanks anyway. HB

There was a later post on yesterdays thread suggesting that 7 Down is LAND OF THE LIVING but I confess I don't see how it fits the clue

I didn't check out all the posts from yesterday as it seems to have gone off at a tangent with aristo's promise of a new quiz on Hymns Ancient & Modern, so thanks April you were right it IS Land of the Living which makes sense elsewhere and so sudatorium is OK as well. Brilliant! Thanks to all
