Would love to get this finished off. All I have left are...
19 A. Local gap's cycling crowds (5) l?r?s
(Lords?)
12 D. Tracking footprints of editor between local path and hayfield (7) pa??ing
(All I can come up with is 'padding'(as in walking, but don't know how it works with the clue.
NB. The clue to 12 D includes an extra letter in the wordplay.
These last two answers intersect - the fourth letter in each is the same.

1d MORCHA so extra letter T
19ac H _ R _ _ ?
HORDE?
Then 4dn would not be LIMBS?
Anyway why would it be LIMBS, can't see it.
Is 41ac FRANC ?
Totally stuck in bottom right corner and any help appreciated.

Time for Mephisto now!

Joan - padding is good - pad ed ing - pad = local path, ed = editor, ing = hayfield, extra letter is E
