As I put on my previous posting before
running out of space, I couldn't see
the make-up of both 32 Across "Tie fly
when holding rod against current". The
answer is LIGATURE but couldn't quite
see why. And the other one is 23 Down
"British method when scuttling
steamship is barely acceptable" The
answer is surely BORDERLINE but I can't
see where the steamship comes into it.

fly = lure
gat = rod
i = current (symbol for)
