10d Space travellers on way over? Be sensible (6). I have COMETS to fit my letters but don't see the cryptic bit again!

L = learner = pupil, in detention means held by

other one. be sensible = come (as in come,come. come on. that sort of thing). + st (street) backwards.

10 be sensible = come (as in come on)
way over = st (street) reversed
