Needing fresh air,cut nettle(6) ... anagram = URTICA (nettle).

Thrust ISP into nothing 1 down(7) ... probably OBTRUDE ('o' + 'bt' + 'rude'). Now, I wonder what the answer to 1 down is?

Evens out bulk user (4) ??U? ... if the even numbered letters are taken away, this leaves BLUE.

Is there a colour-theme to the crossword? If so, the last answer may be NOIR which is hidden in the word marionette.

JIM C I am an idiot Yes there is a colour theme to the crossword If I had read the Special instructions which states there are indeed Seven answers closely related I would have realised!
