Hi, 3 remaining clues driving me nuts!
1. Has he to include meat-plate? (5) --H-T. 2. Following person organised the run (6) -U---R.
3. Not enthusiastically warm (5) --W-D.

ASHET is a Scottish meat plate

1) ashet
2) hunter

could 3 be tepid?

I am not at all certain but number 2 could be HUNTER

Thanks Brackendale and andyc. The last answer could well be tepid, thanks, the "T" fits into "HUNTER". I have to change one other answer to accommodate the "P" in "TEPID".ie 'Songster, it went after seed' (5) P-P-T. I had originally had PEWIT, but that no longer fits.

Might be pipit!
