I bought the morning edition of the telegraph but the clue for 5 down is missing -i'm hoping someone out there might have a later edition with the clue in it. Many thanks

I understand from Belfast Telegraph readers using another crossword help site that the clue is missing from all editions.

Perhaps this is an early entry for CLUELESS 31 !!!

Apologies for the missing clue. Our supplier, the Press Association, has admitted responsibility and sends an apology to everyone affected.

PA has also promised to introduce some changes in procedures to try to ensure that it won’t happen again.

The missing clue was:

Share defender to reduce expenditure (3,4); to which the solution is CUT BACK.
