Afternoon all...

"Yank's two dances" = tow. To yank = to tow?? A poor clue?

"Earthquakes settle in core" = heartland.

"Top English ambassador wears awful clothes" = behead. Where's the BE..AD from?

"Earthquakes settle in core" = heartland.
Anagram of earth=HEART, settle=LAND

"Top English ambassador wears awful clothes" = behead. Where's the BE..AD from?
awful=BAD, English=E wears...clothes=inside

English = E
Ambassador = HE (His excellency)
Awful = Bad
