Theatre, acting, operating, war? Stands suggests it should have an S?

Not sure if you want the answer but think latin plural and aid.

Podia? ('aid' + 'op', both backwards. ) Think it's the plural of 'podium'/stage.

Does podia hace anything to do with feet? =standing?

Many thanks. I don't think I would have got that. I was deemed too thick to study latin beyond the first year, and only made it to doctorate level scientist. I guess podium is a neutral noun, then....
