Haven't gotten much further and I'm stonewalled again. These cryptics are hard...

Continued ceremony in sackcloth and ashes (8)
-----I--

Beside place of hanger-on (8) P-R-S---

I'm fairly certain none of those are anagrams but who knows! also just to check,

Top prize (5) C-O-N is CROWN?

No anagrams here ;)

1st one...abbreviation followed by a 4 letter word for ceremony
2nd one...prefix meaning beside followed by 'place'
..and I reckon CROWN is right

Got CONTRITE! :)

Not sure about the second one though, having PLACE doesn't fit the letters I have, and I'm pretty certain my 'I' is correct
