There's no theme to this quiz but I have two questions left that defeat me.

Which deciduous tree does not shed all it's leaves in the autumn?

What, on the starboard side of a ship goes from stern to stem and on the port side from stem to stern?

Are there any sailors or naturalists out there?

Thanks fran. We have a lot of eucalyptus in Brodick Castle gardens and I hadn't thought of it. I suspect the answer to the second one may be signal flags, but I need a seaman/woman to confirm that for me.

What, on the starboard side of a ship goes from stern to stem and on the port side from stem to stern?

Although not covering the whole of the ship, would not the name of the ship, printed on both sides, satisfy the criteria, directionwise?

Thanks JimB. I think that's probably the right answer. How could I have missed that one as we often have ship's riding at anchor in the bay whilst they wait for a berth further up the Clyde.
