Ok, so someone had to start it. One left to do and I haven't any ideas.

19D - Be important foreign noble (5) ?O?N?

I thought it might be an anagram of NOBLE but nothing fits, so I started to look at Chamber wordfinder and it found 118 possibilities. I don't see anything in there which makes sense of the clue.

Ah, silly me. But I have an excuse. Our local Coop (the only supermarket on the island - although 'super' is a bit of a misnomer) has a special half-price offer on a South African Cabernet Sauvignon Merlot (2008) which is excellent. Of course when you find a good and cheap wine you have to savour that moment don't you.

Nearly finished but 24 A? Rare to be opened when the German's inside Thought it might be anagram with 'inside' and something 'german' of 3 letters added !?

Hi Kay,

I had to go and get it from the recycling bin before they come to collect it tomorrow morning.

UNDERDONE (rare) = DER (the German) + UNDONE (to be open)

Hi John

Have a look at the Guardian thread - I was able to use your idea for displaying pictures.
