This is a request only to those who have already done this. The clue refers to another clue & so I can't throw it open : 9 dn has me completely baffled & without giving me the answer, would someone tell me what 26 ac is looking for. My last two & I've hit a brick wall. Many thanks.

For 26ac the definition is the first word - but think laterally! Some of the answer is an anagram

thanks AJT1 - but you have been too subtle - this is my final clue and I'm still stumped!

Think chota peg. First four letters of answer - another (obscure!) word for refuse (accent on the 1st syllable) then the rest is an anagram. Hope this enlightens.
