Hi all -- here is the October Thingy
(otherwise known as Octopussy).

18 clues, mostly of 6 letters, some of 5, some of 7.
I have used just six letters of the alphabet----
Six of the most frequently used ( not necessarily THE most frequently used!!!)
BUT BUT BUT here and there a stray has rather obviously crept in.
So
1. Solve the 18 clues
2. Decide which letters are the strays
3.Concoct a word using the strays using them as often as you wish
4. Concoct a clue
5. The longest word and the shortest clue gets the Mars bar.
6. Share if you wish or hold your winners close to your bosom
7. I’ll call time when someone crosses the line ( and the Tees)
8. Have fun.
