Hi Joygeo - Are you sure of your letters? 19d could be lenient and I can't think of anything to fit 24a

Forgive me for asking, but is the spelling of FOREBEAR correct? If so, we're looking for the name of an ancesteor, I think, but very difficult with only 5 letters!

Now as for the 24a the clue is forebear (5) thats why i was finding it so hard but i have put "elder" in.
One more, for 13a i have spaniards as clue- people from madrid" but the one i am stuck with is 14d (9)Clue- "13 across for instance" i have ?u?e?e?n? if any of you can solve this i think your wonderful''
