Benny and Oscar in dash? Only part of it (6) S * E * D *
The last across clue - and the only one I'm stuck on. All thoughts/help appreciated!

Looks like Speedy,but I've no idea where the two men come into it:maybe they're secret synonyms for parts of the word?

It's 'speedo' because 'dash' refers to 'dashboard' and 'speedo' only part of 'speedometer'
