Some time ago, a friend gave me this riddle. I do not like it(2), said the man in the black _(3). Although the _(4) may be impressive, when you _(5) a man, you _(6) a _(7)part of God's _(8). This does not happen with _(9). 'it' is the first in the series of missing words. Each successive missing word uses all the letters of the previous missing word plus one new letter, and rearranges them to make a meaningful sentence. The person who gave me this said it was once on a UK exam paper. (11+)?

Well, the three-lettered word must use 'i' and 't' and another letter, and be an item of a man's clothing...

i got tie, but that was it! Might have t o re-use this...
