I set crossies just for pleasure. I wonder if some of you excellent regulars would like to try a few of my clues? Since they're new, no letters!

Please withhold solutions till 5 pm (GMT+1) to allow others to have a go.

2) BEER AND SKITTLES - Idle Enjoyment ...Anag(break out) REDS LET BEATNIKS

3) MARQUE - Privateer..Sounds like/caught MARK

4) INSTALLMENT - US Episode ...ALL MEN (absence of women) anag(performing)STINT about.

5) RIFLES - Fleeces/plunders...SOLDIERS (as in the King's Rifles)

Ha, ha! wrinklies on the b/h's forehead. Very inventive. Unfortunatelky, a bit 'far out', even for me.
