2 of many reasons why I was unable to finish last weeks puzzle.
Although I now have the answers, I thought maybe you would like a stab at them, and then maybe explain them , as I am at a loss with them.

1) Too unframed, according to a fan at a comic show ( 5,5 )

2) Fancy housing has thermostat finally with current ( 10 )

too unframed is o + per (according to) a fan + a buff +a = "opera buffa"- a comic show?

Opera Buffa is an Italian comic opera...just to confirm.
