Here is the September Thingy
(Now don’t be put off!!!)
The 38 clues give the names of towns
In each historic English county
( Actually there are 39 historic counties
So a final answer will be to identify the missing one.
Two towns have 7 letters, the others 6 or less.
At the end of the clues is a prompt for the initial letter of that county
So you can gradually eliminate options
SO HERE WE GO
1. Instrument. One string off and on (C or B)
2. Chap gets a number right (D or H)
3. Baskervillian? Behead it and the French (B or N)
4. Coals to Newcastle? It includes rock (S or E)
